Hey… remember me? 👋
Yeah, I know. I’ve been a little quiet lately.
But I promise - I haven’t disappeared.
I’ve been building.
Quietly.
Behind the scenes.
Figuring things out in my usual “let me poke at this until it makes sense” kind of way.
And here’s a little confession…
I have never been able to get into journaling.
I know, I know. For someone who’s done years of personal development, that probably sounds a little ridiculous. 😂 But it’s true. Every time I’ve tried, it’s felt forced. Like I was answering someone else’s questions instead of actually connecting with myself.
The prompts never hit.
They never felt like me.
And if it doesn’t feel like me… I’m out.
But something shifted yesterday.
I was listening to some REALLY good content about journaling - not the fluffy, surface-level stuff, but the kind that actually makes you stop and think. The kind that doesn’t tell you what to write, but instead how to listen.
And it clicked.
Maybe it’s not that I don’t like journaling…
Maybe I just haven’t found the right way for me.
So today, I started changing that.
Instead of forcing myself into someone else’s prompts, I started asking my own questions. The messy ones. The honest ones. The ones I actually care about answering.
And you know what?
It felt… different.
Better. Easier. Real.
Like I wasn’t performing anymore - I was actually connecting.
Which feels very on-brand for me, honestly. If I can’t feel it, I’m not doing it. Period.
So now I’m curious…
👉 Have you ever struggled with journaling?
👉 Do prompts work for you—or do they feel forced?
👉 What actually helps you connect with yourself?
I have a feeling this is something I’m just starting to explore, and I’d love to hear what’s worked (or not worked) for you.
Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned - it’s that there’s no “right way” to do any of this. Just the way that works for you.
And I’m finally ready to figure out what that looks like for me.

I think it's different when you are writing your life instead of someone else's idea of what your life should be.
